What is a Matching Gifts Program?

Many businesses, including banks, high-tech firms, large retailers and a growing number of smaller companies, give back to their communities by matching their employees’ contributions to nonprofits. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and spouses!

How Does It Work?

1. If your employer is listed, it is likely that they offer a matching gifts program.
If your company is not listed, check with your HR department to see if they offer one. If you find out your employer does offer a matching gift program but isn’t on our list, please let us know so that we can add them.

2. Obtain a matching gift form from your employer.
Your employer (usually the HR department) will provide you with all the information needed to process your matching gift request. Some corporate intranet sites allow employees to apply directly online. Others provide forms that can be printed out and mailed.
